SUMMER 2026

High School Math Foundations Program

A 6-week small-group summer course designed to help students strengthen core math skills, fill in learning gaps, and begin the school year with greater confidence.

Many students enter the school year carrying gaps from previous math classes, and those gaps can make it difficult to keep up once new material begins. This course is designed to help students strengthen their number sense, improve algebra fluency, and build the foundational skills needed for success in high school math. Through guided instruction, targeted practice, knowledge checks, and a small-group setting limited to just 6 students, students will leave the course more confident, more capable, and better prepared for Math I, Math II, or Math III.

COURSE OVERVIEW

Build Stronger Foundations Before the School Year Begins

This course is designed for high school students who want a stronger mathematical foundation before the next school year begins. Many students can get by in math while still carrying gaps in number sense, fluency, or algebraic reasoning, but those gaps often become much more noticeable once the pace picks up and the material becomes more demanding.

Our goal in this program is to help students slow down, strengthen the skills that matter most, and rebuild confidence in areas that often hold them back. We will focus heavily on number sense, fluency with operations, and foundational algebra skills so that students are better able to solve problems accurately, think through multi-step processes, and approach new content with more confidence.

This course is especially valuable for students entering Math I, Math II, or Math III who want to feel more prepared, less overwhelmed, and more capable when the school year starts. By the end of the program, students should leave with stronger foundational understanding, improved fluency, and a clearer sense that they can succeed in math.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Why a Strong Foundation Matters

When students begin the school year with gaps in foundational math skills, even grade-level material can quickly start to feel overwhelming. A stronger foundation makes it easier to follow instruction, solve problems accurately, ask better questions, and build confidence early in the year.

This course is designed to help students strengthen the skills that high school math depends on most so they can start the year feeling more prepared, more confident, and more capable of success.
