Pre-Calculus moves fast, and students who fall behind early often struggle all year.
This 6-week AP PreCalc Summer Prep course builds strong algebra foundations and previews key PreCalc concepts students will see in the fall. With guided instruction, targeted practice, and small-group support, students start the year confident and prepared.

Throughout the course, students will:

Strengthen advanced algebra skills essential for success in Pre-Calculus

Review and apply function concepts, including notation, domain, range, and transformations

Develop confidence with graphing and interpreting functions across multiple representations

Practice problem-solving strategies commonly used in Pre-Calc assessments

Preview the first units and core concepts they will encounter in the fall semester

Improve accuracy and efficiency with multi-step algebraic problems

Learn how to approach challenging problems strategically instead of guessing

Build confidence and mathematical maturity needed for a fast-paced course

Topics will include

Functions and Graphs: Advanced analysis of functions, including transformations, composition, and inverses.

Exponential Functions: Exponential growth and decay models, graphing, and real-world applications.

Logarithmic Functions: Logarithmic expressions, equations, inverse relationships, and applications.

Rational Functions: Asymptotes, domain restrictions, end behavior, and graph interpretation.

Rate of Change: average rate of change, instantaneous rate of change, change in tandem

Polynomial Functions: End behavior, even and odd polynomials, zeros, graphs and more

Problem-Solving & Mathematical Reasoning: Multi-step problem solving, modeling, and preparation for AP-style questions.
